EUROCLEAN BELGIUM and EUROCLEAN LUXEMBOURG obtain the ISO 14001 certificate
After an intensive certification audit conducted by the internationally renowned ‘Bureau Veritas’ agency , Euroclean Belgium and Luxembourg obtained the ISO 14001 certification mid May 2011. Obtaining this certificate is a great reward for the “green” policy that the company pursues for many years now.
This certificate confirms the increasing attention Euroclean structurally attaches to the environment throughout its operations. The two main principles of the environmental politic pursued by Euroclean are:
- compliance with laws and regulations and management of
- moving towards minimal environmental impact and continuous improvement in environmental performances.
Although the environmental impact of cleaning is rather low, the register of the various environmental aspects shows that there are two topics that require specific attention: the purchase policy on the one side and the competences of employees and their hierarchy on the other side.
Sustainability has always been a top priority in its purchasing policy and Euroclean therefore has a line of products and materials with a particularly reduced environmental impact:
- Highly concentrated products in refill packages - themselves made of recyclable materials - which are used as efficient as possible by means of dosing systems.
- High quality microfiber that, despite their minimal consumption, leads to maximum cleaning results.
With the objective to ensure that everyone is conscious of his role and personal responsibilities, Euroclean helps his employees to develop their competences by offering courses in ‘Ecological Cleaning’. These courses are very practical and applicable in all day-to-day operations. Euroclean also provides awareness campaigns on a regular basis.
But Euroclean wishes to go even further!
